Communication and dissemination activities of the Flex2Energy project, recently carried out by the Municipality of Alba Iulia
Recently, the Municipality of Alba Iulia presented the objectives of the Flex2Energy project in three different events, the emphasis being on the importance of new and affordable organic photovoltaics on the green and sustainable development of cities, and their large applications in buildings, mobility and agriculture which are being tested during the project. Interest in these solutions was high, especially due to the presentation of a functional prototype of photovoltaic organic foil with LEDs, kindly and promptly provided by the OET project partner.
The first event, the national Symposium “CONTRIBUTIONS IN THE ACTIVITY OF INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFER. EXAMPLES OF GOOD PRACTICES IN THE CENTRAL REGION” took place on September 25, being hosted by the 1 Decembrie 1918 University in Alba Iulia (RO website https://www.uab.ro/evenimente/79-simpozionul-national-contributii-in-activitatea-de-inovare-si-transfer-tehnologic-exemple-de-bune-practici-in-regiunea-centru). More than 30 representatives of the Ministry of Innovation and Research, the National Agency for Energy Regulation, the university environment (4 Universities, from Alba Iulia, Pitesti, Timisoara and UT Clausthal/ Germany), energy producers and distributors (Electrica, Hidroelectrica) and private companies (Continental, Bosh Rexroth, STA Mercedes, StokRX, Delphi Electric) participated and presented recent implemented projects in energy production and efficiency area.
The second event, “Energy literacy, for an efficient and sustainable Romania” (https://www.presshub.ro/alfabetizare-energetica-pentru-o-romanie-eficienta-si-sustenabila-transfer-de-cunostinte-si-cresterea-constientizarii-intre-romania-si-norvegia-287751/, RO), was hosted by Ciugud City Hall, on September 29, intended for the exchange of best practices in energy efficiency projects. The event, organized together with Norsk Energy and the NGOs Freedom House, Cult Market Research and De-a Arhitectura, brought together over 35 participants from local public administrations and companies. The municipality of Alba Iulia presented several examples of energy efficiency projects, including the actions of the Flex2Energy project, and their possible applications.
A third event was the Fair of solutions for green energy and energy efficiency (https://albagreenenergy.ro/, RO), organized by the Local Agency of Alba Energy, with the support of the Alba County Council, the Center Regional Development Agency and the Municipality of Alba Iulia, between September 30 – October 1. The event included a seminar presenting technical and financing solutions for energy efficiency projects, dedicated to local public administrations and a fair of energy efficiency solutions, where almost 30 companies presented energy efficiency solutions (thermal and photovoltaic solar panel systems, biomass, lighting, eco-mobility, smart home, automation). Held outdoors, the fair enjoyed a large participation, citizens and companies interested in the production of energy from renewable sources and energy efficiency or electric mobility, who were able to receive explanations and leaflets regarding the objectives and activities of the Flex2Energy project.
